Spruce up your patio furniture.  

According to Take A Yard, you can use car wax on aluminum and iron patio furniture to keep it looking good. (Just not recommended for wood furniture.) Remove any cushions or covers and wash your patio furniture with soap and water and let dry completely. Then apply a thin layer of car wax and buff it off with a soft cloth after letting it sit for a few seconds. Of course, you can try a small, discrete spot first to ensure it works on your furniture.  

Make shoveling snow easier.  

We love this tip from This Old House. Apply two coats of car wax to your shovel before you shovel snow from your driveway and sidewalks. This will help prevent snow from sticking to your shovel, making the tedious task a little easier. And hopefully a little quicker too.  

See yourself better. 

Do your mirrors fog up after a nice, hot shower? Of course, they do. And wiping the fog with your hand doesn’t really help. Instead, try this trick from One Good Thing. Apply a thin layer of car wax to your mirrors, before you shower preferably, let dry and buff with a soft cloth.  

Get those appliances to shine.

Cleverly Me recommends gently rubbing a little car wax on the back of the CD and removing it with a microfiber cloth. Of course, if that doesn’t work ask, “Alexa, play my favorite song.”
